LITURGY HYMNS and SONGS

I WANT TO WALK AS A CHILD OF THE LIGHT

  1. I want to walk as a child of the light
    I want to follow Jesus
God sent the stars to give light to the world The star of my life is Jesus

REFRAIN: In Him there is no darkness at all
The night and the day are both alike The Lamb is the light of the city of God Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus

2. I want to see the brightness of God
I want to look at Jesus
Clear sun of righteousness, shine on my path And show me the way to the Father

REFRAIN:  In Him there is no darkness at all
The night and the day are both alike The Lamb is the light of the city of God Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus!

3. I’m looking for the coming of Christ, I want to be with Jesus
When we have run with patience the race
We shall know the joy of Jesus!   Refrain

SHINE JESUS SHINE

Refrain:
Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father’s glory Blaze, Spirit, blaze – Set our hearts on fire Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy Send forth your word
Lord, and let there be light

  1. Lord, the light of your love is shining In the midst of the darkness, shining Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us Set us free by the truth you now bring us Shine on me, shine on me

Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father’s glory Blaze, Spirit, blaze
Set our hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy Send forth your word
Lord, and let there be light

2. Lord, I come to your awesome presence From the shadows into your radiance
By the blood I may enter your brightness Search me, try me, consume all my darkness Shine on me, shine on me.  REFRAIN

3. As we gaze on your kingly brightness So our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory Mirrored here may our lives tell your story Shine on me, shine on me REFRAIN

I HEARD THE VOICE OF JESUS SAY

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
“Come unto me and rest;
lay down thou weary one,
lay down, thy head upon my breast”.

I came to Jesus as I was,
so weary worn and sad;
I found in Him a resting place
and he has made me glad

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
“Behold, I freely give
the living water, thirsty one,
stoop down and drink and live.”

I came to Jesus, and I drank
of that life-giving stream;
my thirst was quenched my soul revived,
and now I live in him

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
“I am this dark world’s light;
look unto me thy morn shall rise
and all thy day be bright.”

I looked to Jesus and I found
in Him my star my sun;
and in that light of life I’ll walk
’till travelling days are done

PRIMARY MUSIC SONG OF THE WEEK:

A Wonderful World and Beautiful Day!  by Jack Hartmann

Rise up children celebrate
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!
Hold a hand, Swing and sway
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!

Birds are flying
Squirrels are climbing
Trees are swaying
Children are playing
Runners are running
Hearts are thumping
Dancers are bopping
Rabbits are hopping

Rise up children celebrate
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!
Hold a hand, Swing and sway
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!

Buses are driving
Jets are flying
Guitars are strumming
Friends are hugging
Tails are wagging
Hands are clapping
Fishes are swish’in
Mommy’s are kissing!

Rise up children celebrate
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!
Hold a hand, Swing and sway
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!

Feel the love and life every place!

So, Rise up children celebrate
It’s a wonderful world and a beautiful day!

PAGES OF A BOOK

Ah… Ah.. Ohh…..
I am a lion, I am a Star  I am a farmer, I’m a poet, I’m a Czar!
I fly with eagles, I am lost beneath the sea.

Within these pages lies the key, lies the key
In the pages of a book,  In the pages of a book,
I can be myself or someone else in the pages of a book.
In the pages of a book,  In the pages of a book,
I can lose myself or find myself in the pages of a book.

I am a shepherd, I play guitar  I am a zebra    I’m an astronaut on Mars   I climb high mountains   I’m a hero to the free,
Within these pages lies the key..  Lies the key
Chorus
Ah!  Ah!!!
I can lose myself or find myself in the pages of a book. (2x’s)
Ican lose myself — or find myself —
in the pages ofa, pages of a, pages of a book.

LOVE IS SOMETHING IF YOU GIVE IT AWAY

Love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away.
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

It’s just like a magic penny,
Hold it tight and you won’t have any.
Lend it, spend it, and you’ll have so many
They’ll roll all over the floor.

ForLoveis something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away.
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

Money’s dandy and we like to use it,
But love is better if you don’t refuse it.
It’s a treasure and you’ll never lose it
Unless you lock up your door.

For love is something if you give it away,

DO RE ME
(DO) Doe, a deer, a female deer
(RE) Ray, a drop of golden sun
(ME)
Me, a name I call myself
(FA) Far, a long long way to run
(SO)
Sew, a needle pulling thread
(LA) La, a note to follow so
(TE)
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do, oh oh oh

MISSION CONTROL
Mission Control do you read me?
Will you please save me a place?
Mission control, do you need me
On the next rocket in space?

Maybe I’m small, but I’m growing,
Watch and one day You will see.
Space is wide open and waiting for me.
So Mission Control do you read me?

I really don’t take too much room
Mission Control, do you need me
On the next trip to the moon?

Martin Luther King Music, Videos & Songs

Listen to this amazing performance of “Shed A Little Light”

One of our favorite songs about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A Man Name King

Once there was a man named King, Alleluia
They called him Martin Luther King, Alleluia

King was wise and he was good. Alleluia
He believed in brotherhood. Alleluia

Now Martin’s eyes were colorblind, Alleluia
For he loved people of every kind. Alleluia

He had a dream for you and me, Alleluia
He knew that all men must be free. Alleluia

The freedom road is weary and long Alleluia
But Martin sang a freedom song Alleluia

One day Martin sang no more Alleluia
But he had change the world forever more.  Alleluia

We must keep the dream alive, Alleluia
Freedom’s song can never die. Alleluia

If we join hands it will come true, Alleluia
For freedom starts with me and you. Alleluia

“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal.’

Once there was a man named King, Alleluia
They called him Martin Luther King. Alleluia

What Can One Little Person Do?
What Can One Little Me Or You Do?
What Can One Little Person Do To Help This World Go ‘Round?
One Can Help Another One
And Together We Can Get The Job Done
What Can One Little Person Do To Help This World?

  1. Harriet Tubman Was Alone – On The Darkened Road To Freedom
But She Knew She Couldn’t Leave Her People Far Behind! Moses Stretched Out Her Hand – She Led Them To The Promised Land
‘Cause She Knew She Had Justice On Her Side.
  2. When Sojourner Truth Was Free, She Got Down To Her Knees
Prayed To God To Help Her On Her Way By, With Her Voice And With Her Might, She Fought For What Was Right
‘Cause She Knew She Had Justice On Her Side
  3. Rosa Parks Sat On The Bus, And The Driver Said You Must – Go Back Of The Bus Or Else Be Thrown In Jail, But She Stayed and Stood Her Ground, She Brought That Old Law Down. ‘Cause She Knew She Had Justice On Her Side.
  4. Brother Martin Luther King, Told The World: “I Have A Dream” He Led This Country’s Fight For Human Rights.  We Must Fight For Liberty, Till All Of Us Are Free – To Know We Have Justice On Our Side
One Can Help Another One.  And Together We Can Get The Job Done.  What Can One Little Person Do To Help This World?

We Shall Overcome

We shall overcome.   We shall overcome.
We shall overcome some day
Oh deep in my heart – I do believe, that we will overcome some day.

  • We shall all be free…
  • We shall live in peace…
  • We’ll walk hand in hand..
